What being Planet Positive means for our business

World governments are increasingly introducing tough legislation and targets to cut carbon emissions. Silverlife recognises the need to work with the environment, not against it.

As a Planet Positive accredited business Silverlife aims at the very least to reduce its carbon footprint year on year. Alongside this we aim, where appropriate, to use products which reuse, recycle and harvest natural resources, including rain water harvesting technology, photovoltaic solar panels and solar water heating panels.

We are committed to reducing our total business footprint of 30 Tonnes by 5% per annum in order to meet UK targets as recommended by the Committee for Climate Change of reducing by 42% by 2020.

In order to achieve this 5% reduction we will reduce office energy usage by 5% resulting in an overall footprint reduction of 1.2 Tonnes and reduce waste by 5%, resulting in an overall footprint reduction of 0.3 Tonnes.

Who we work with

Silverlife has experience and expertise in Commercial, Public Sector, Retail & Leisure, Residential, Industrial and Data Centres. Currently the mechanical engineering arm of Silverlife is working on a number of projects with Bouygues UK on the BSF (Building Schools for the Future) Programme as the principal M&E contractor.

The facilities management and maintenance arm of Silverlife is currently working on and with a mixture of residential and business premises carrying out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and a reactive 24/7 service.
