Peikko has a reputation for innovative product development to meet future needs. By employing best practice in the design of elements and indeed entire structures, embodied and operational C02 can be reduced from ""Business as Normal"" baseline.

As the built environment accounts for up to 50% C02 emissions in developed countries, Peikko advocates use of products such as Deltabeam to ensure next generation buildings are efficiently designed and sustainable.

Product manufacture is highly automated, extensivley employs hydro-electric power, and processes are designed to ensure offcuts and wastage (primarily steel raw material) can be ustilised in other products or recycled. Peikko connections are designed to afford demountability to enable architects and structural engineers to consider ""End of Life"" options for their new buildings.
