Our core business is the complete installation of polished concrete slabs and screed or the polishing of existing concrete slabs. We have two additional divisions within PCD consisting of our floor prep teams and specialist coverings teams.

Polishing concrete is relatively new to the UK and there are currently around 25 companies that offer this service however, the companies that serve the commercial sector in terms of technological expertise and capacity number 4 or 5 at most.

Majestic Wine Stores, HSS Hire Shops, Ring Containers, Fraikin Transport are just a few of our end users and in addition to working with cutting edge architects and designers, we have an increasing number of high street retailers who are seeing the benefits of specifying our HTC patented floor system.

Enjoying the lowest embedded carbon footprint of any floor finish currently available is to us, the real icing on the cake but consider this: Levelling compounds and/or latex, adhesives and/or sealants and finally your floor coverings are costs and carbon producing materials that you simply won’t need. Your polished floor will last the lifetime of your building, complies and in some cases exceeds the industry standards for operation.

We love Edmund Burke not just because he was a pretty good statesman, philosopher and orator but because back in 1700 he penned a quote that some 300 years later would prove to be so apposite as to how we should all view our planet that we use his wise words wherever we can on our vehicles, on our plant labels, on our stationary in fact we never miss the opportunity to spread the word and spread it we do.

We all know that box ticking is often the driver for some of our so called eco warriors but at Polished, we really are concerned that we are clocking up a huge environmental invoice that our future generations will have to settle up and sadly, if we carry on as we are, they simply won’t have the currency that nature accepts.
