Sutton United is a semi-professional football club, fielding two adult teams and one under-18 team under its own name but also running a juniors section that runs teams for boys at all age groups and has two girls’ teams for 2011/12
What being Planet Positive means for our business
We have a strong focus on community issues, we believe that is the only sustainable way forward for small clubs in an era of increasing costs. By making the club a focus for the community we believe that will help increase support and also attract young players who may one day go on to be professionals. In a borough that prides itself on its environmental credentials, and as tenants in a council owned ground, we feel that an emphasis on environmental issues reinforces our social commitments and becoming Planet Positive would send out a clear message of our intentions.
